The FX calculation
Enter the monthly amount that is subject to conversion markup, expressed in your chosen invoice currency at the reference rate. This may include employer contributions and benefits as well as salary. Confirm the applicable base with your provider.
Annual FX markup cost = monthly converted payroll × 12 × markup percentageFor example, 100,000 per month at a 2% markup produces 24,000 in annual markup costs. The three-year result assumes the same volume and rate throughout. This is a scenario, not a forecast.
Comparing two quotes
Annual provider charges = monthly service fee × employees × 12 + annual FX markup cost + other annual provider feesQuote A uses the markup selected in the calculator. Quote B assumes zero provider markup. Both are fictional, editable examples and do not represent any supplier. Enter all applicable provider charges before using a result in a buying decision.
The comparison excludes salary and employer contributions themselves, refundable deposits, and unentered charges. It assumes the service fee applies for 12 months to the same number of employees. Refundable deposits are a funding requirement, not an annual expense.
Currency and rate basis
The currency selector changes the currency used to label your inputs and results. It does not convert values or retrieve live rates. Enter all amounts in the selected currency.
A same-currency payment with no conversion is different from a cross-currency payment with zero provider markup. External bank or treasury costs may still apply. Comparing a forward exchange rate with today's spot rate alone does not establish a provider markup: the reference time and settlement basis must match.
What the RFP asks for
The questionnaire requests a named reference rate, the markup and its calculation base, contractual terms, invoice evidence and a worked example. Optional sections cover funding, deposits, additional fees and exit terms. It is a commercial enquiry template, not a statement of any provider's contractual obligations.
Source context & reuse
Our buyer guides distinguish external source statements from our analysis. The open scenario dataset shows the calculator formula applied to 20 fictional combinations, with a downloadable CSV.
